- JCMS, formely known as Shadow Knight, is a French-Canadian member of the Tales forums, registered at the end of August 2004. However, he had not been a frequent poster until late 2006. As his English skills progressed, he started to make appearances in the Video Games forum. He only became a truly active member in the fall of 2006, coinciding with the North American release of Tales of the Abyss. At that time, he started to appear more frequently in the General Discussion section. As Abicion saw an epic post count increase in April 2007, he followed with a mere 1300 posts in 3 weeks.
- The Shadow Knights were a group/organization/guild of Elite Soldier of the Ringford Royal Army and Belderiver wielders who served Melvin. Each Shadow Knight once held the Belderiver as his/her weapon. But the Cursed sword turned them all instantly into monsterous beasts of shadow known as Devastators when ever they tried to awaken its power. When this happened, Melvin temporarily disbanded his Shadow Knights Organization until he could find a proper Belderiver wielder. when Oswald is the last of the Shadow Knights was able to awaken the cursed sword's powers, Melvin planed to revive his old organization of knights back into the ranks of Ringford's Royal Army. So far only Oswald is the only known Shadow Knight who was able to awaken the Belderiver's full power over shadow and not transform
- Shadow Knights are a durable tank class. This Warrior/Necromancer hybrid has vampiric and damage-over-time spells. Shadow Knights have the unique ability to Harm Touch (do direct damage) every 72 minutes, the power of which increases in absolute terms but decreases relative to enemies' hit points as a player levels up. Since this class is a hybrid, they must wait longer than the Necromancer to begin receiving spells, and longer yet for the more potent incantations such as Summon Corpse and Feign Death. In most cases the level difference in spell acquirement is +25-30 levels. For example a Necromancer might learn a certain spell at level 4 that a Shadow Knight is unable to learn until level 34. Eventually - Shadow Knights are able to summon a weak skeleton pet, summon players' corpses who a
- Cleric first met the Shadow Knight in the game when he attacked a small village. Alf and Moe filled her in on who the Shadow Knight was; The most malicious and powerful player in the game. The Shadow Knight then killed Turkey Skinner with his flame sword. When Marge discovered he was really Bart she was shocked that he was so violent but happy that her son played the game well. He lived in a castle with Milhouse, his helper who had been turned into a lady. He was a apparently regular customer at a tavern run by Moe.
- The Shadow Knight is considered by many as the opposite to a Paladin, while in some ways this is true, on Norrath they aren't the traditional evil Black Knight to the Good White Knight. The races that are capable of producing Shadow Knights are not all innately evil, even Gnomes are known to become them and the Humans have a great many. In a similar fashion to a Paladin, Shadow Knights have to be dedicated to their deity, whether this dedication is because of a desire to serve or to gain in power and wealth is debatable. What is true for certain is none of the deities Shadow Knights follow could be thought of as good and will usually be classed as evil.
