They were plotting to defect from the Empire to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and Hasufin was made in charge of the governor's security aboard his space station. However, Selwyn Marhanen, an Emperor's Royal Guard was dispatched to eliminate the governor. After boarding the station, the guardsman contacted Sergeant Hasufin and informed him that a team of assassins was onboard, and told him to evacuate the governor as soon as possible. That shuttle was rigged with explosives, which the Royal Guardsman detonated, but not before stepping out from his hiding place behind a crate so the sergeant and his men could realize their mistake.
