| - Although the process was unknown due to the forbidden nature of most forms of intrigue into the Void, theosite was indeed known for having a peculiar relationship with the entropic energy field. When directly subjected to the excess energies of the Void, the theosite siphoned and retained the absorbed energy, almost akin to "feeding" upon Void power. Once infused with Void energy, theosite was capable of taking on additional properties, such as incredible cutting force, sharpness and structural integrity. Other desired effects included the iconic chilling of the blade to a near-absolute zero; most wounds inflicted by deathscythes, the choice weapon of the Savants, included lacerations with frostbite, cracked and broken flesh, and even hypothermia in the cases of those sustaining deep and untreated wounds. Additional effects also included the ability to resist the lightsaber's energy blade through the repulsion of the Force energies present within the weapon's beam with Void energies. It was known, however, that theosite on its own was incapable of resisting the damaging effects of a lightsaber. When infused with Void energy, theosite glazed with a metallic appearance and shined brightly, with the effects once being likened to the reflection and refraction of solar light. The rarity of theosite was unknown; while the substance was plentiful enough to be utilized in the production of deathscythes for the Savants of the Dominion, it was also spoken of as being "too scarce" for the armor of Savants to be forged with it.
