- "Home for the Holidays", sometimes titled "(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays", is a popular Christmas song. It was a hit for Perry Como in 1954, but has also been recorded by numerous other artists. The upbeat song intersperses a chorus about the importance of being at home for holidays, with a quirky verse about people traveling across the US to get home which reaches the humorous conclusion "From Atlantic to Pacific, Gee the traffic is terrific!" It is sung by Miss Piggy and the cast in A Muppet Family Christmas, when she finally arrives at Emily Bear's farmhouse.
- Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays, 'Cause no matter how far away you roam, When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze, For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home. I met a man who lives in Tennessee, He was headin' for, Pennsylvania, and some home made pumpkin pie. From Pennsylvania, folks are travelin' Down to Dixie's sunny shore, From Atlantic to Pacific, Gee, the traffic is terrific. Oh there's no place like home for the holidays, 'Cause no matter how far away you roam, If you want to be happy in a million ways, For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home.
