Titration, usually referred to in medicine as a titer is a testing procedure where a liquid medical sample is diluted in a fixed ratio (usually 2:1). It is used in many tests, most notably the anti-nuclear antibody test, where the sample is diluted time and time again in the same ratio until the test is negative.
