She continued serving in the Galactic Empire after the rise of Emperor Palpatine's New Order, commanding a Victory I-class Star Destroyer as an Imperial Navy captain. Despite the anti-female view of the Empire, Sione was respected by the rest of the Navy for many successful battles against pirates and later the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Following the death of the Emperor at Endor, she joined Natasi Daala and her Imperial Remnant.
