  • Osvaldo Arpis Rafaelillo (d. 29 Dec 1992) was an assassin from the Saints & Sinners barrio in Mexicali, Baja California, and an associate of Humberto Zorrillo. He was given the nickname of "Alvin Karpis" by local residents and law enforcement. In 1992, he killed drug-dealer James Kappalanni on November 13th, and LAPD detective Lucius Porter on December 28th. Later on the 28th, he attempted to assassinate LAPD detective Harry Bosch at the Hotel Colorado, but failed. He killed Baja California State Judicial Police captain Gustavo Grena on December 29th, but was killed by Calexico Moore later on the 29th prior to a raid on Zorrillo's ranch.
