A Landing Beacon is a beacon that marks areas where ships may land in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. They are found in groups of four in all Landing Sites, except the landing sites in Leviathans and on Phaaze. Landing Beacons will not be active on Sites where obstructions such as debris or hostile bioforms prevent ships from docking. They contain sensors that can detect such obstructions and are programmed to retract until such obstructions are removed. Samus can use areas that have active Landing Beacons to command her Gunship to land.

| - Landing Beacons will appear only in locations where your ship can land. Automated sensors detect whether hostiles or obstructions are nearby, and the beacons will retract until the area is free of all hazards. When the beacons are extended and blinking, you may use the Command Visor to summon your ship.
