  • A parlor was a room in a house where guests could be entertained. Forms of entertainment practiced there included parlor tricks and parlor games, terms which were also often used metaphorically. In 2285, Nyota Uhura welcomed James T. Kirk, Leonard McCoy, and Hikaru Sulu to the transporter room at Old City Station, metaphorically referring to it as her parlor. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
  • When Luigi enters the room, he is attacked by multiple ghosts. E. Gadd soon arrives but even their combined efforts aren't enough. Going back to E. Gadd's Lab, they train until Luigi is ready. Returning to the Parlor, Luigi blows out all the candles, triggering a warning from the paintings. Luigi then proceeded to vacuum up all the ghosts in the room.
