Scud says that he was sunning himself on the beach when an enormous fish ran out of the water nearby; he jokes that it's not everyday that your dinner comes walking right into your lap. With the return of the Maljin, Scud says that, if he didn't have to keep watch for bandits, he would wrap his head in a wet cloth to stop the red fog from stinging his eyes.
