The cyclic rate is the measurement of how many feeding cycles a weapon can complete in a given amount of time. This is usually a minute or a second, and is usually measured by how many rounds the weapon can fire in a minute (Rounds per minute, RPM) or a second (Rounds per second). This number does not take into account reloads or stoppages, or other circumstances that would stop the firing of the weapon.
