The Vinci-Falcone War was a major conflict that took place at the end of prohibition in New York. The war started between the Vinci and Falcone crime families when their prohibition revenues began decreasing. The war ended when Falcone's own son, Carlo Falcone, conspired with Leone Galante, Vinci's lawyer, which resulted in Tomaso's assassination that succedeed. Carlo then became the boss of the Falcone family. Franko Vinci's controlled an estimated 80% of mob activities at the end of the war, though much of this was lost to the Marina Family, who capitalised on the weakness of the Vinci's after the war. However the Mafia families soon made a brief peace.
