The Palace District in Corus was a district of its own and thus didn't belong to the guard districts supervised by the Provost's Guard. Palace guards were responsible for security there and the Court of the Rogue couldn't be found there. The district included all the palace grounds. It had its own gardens, wells, barracks and menagerie. It marked the southernmost district of Corus, situated on a hill. The City Gate permitted entrance to the Palace District, which was surrounded by a wall and patrolled by soldiers. On the opposite side of the district from the city lay the Royal Forest.
