Calgary & Lethbridge played a playoff series which was both the Western League's semi final and the Alberta provincial semi final. After Lethbridge lost to Calgary it played Drumheller Valley in a qualifying series. Had Drumheller won, it would have gone on to play Calgary in the provincial playoffs. Complicated?
