A mixed American, UK, Canadian Belgian resistance mechanised unit had pushed way too deep in to the Netherlands and the Axis forces decided to act, one the Allie supply chain had broken down. The mechanised unit then withdrew in to an evacuated village and fortified as best they could as a Romanian infantry unit surrounded it and the Luftwaffe bombed it. Later German infantry raids on the a by then well-defended Allied encampment had taken its toll leading to a compete defeat at the hands of the Axis forces. Sargent Paul Anton Leclerc emerged as being the tactical hero, unlike Sargent Edward Ian Chamberlain and General Otis Pfizer who were to busy bickering over who to was blame for the over-stretch (the UK/USA rivalry thing) to be of any use to their squad.
