Eric Michael d'Pontus known as le Gras (the Fat) (16 June 1722 - 18 November 1782), was a Diadochian prince, a member of a cadet branch of the House of Komnenos-Palaiologos, the imperial house of Diadochia. The Protosebastos after 1748, he was the most senior male at the Imperial Court of Diadochia after the immediate imperial family. He was the father of Eric Michael II, Duke of Pontus. He greatly expanded the already extraordinarily huge wealth of the House of Pontus.
