  • The Smurf Wagon was a vehicle Handy had built in the cartoon show episode "Smurfs On Wheels" so that he and his fellow Smurfs could travel to Dreamy Steamy Springs without hiking while still having all the comforts of home. It basically resembled a primitive camper trailer. During the Smurfs' use of the vehicle, there were problems such as having it be stuck in a mud puddle which required the Smurfs riding in the vehicle to get out and push it, which resulted in them falling into the mud puddle. Also, despite the claim that they could have all the comforts of home, the vehicle provided very little comfort for the Smurfs in the manner of privacy and doing things safely while the vehicle was in motion. Eventually, Brainy took control of the wheel while the other Smurfs were sleeping and tried to drive them to the springs by taking a rocky mountain ledge route, only to drive them right off the road and straight into the river, where it was heading toward a waterfall. Papa Smurf, Grandpa Smurf, and Nat, who were nearby witnessing the Smurf Wagon heading for the waterfall, rescued the Smurfs that were in it before the vehicle went over the falls and was destroyed. From that point on, the Smurfs decided that they would be better off hiking instead of using any vehicle to travel to such places.
