When tensions rose between the Nymean Ascendancy and the Order of Sovereignty, the Council of El'iadar decreed that situations were critical enough to warrant turning over diplomatic functions to the military. In a fateful meeting with Grand Inquisitor Praectus, Setran went to negotiate in Ureles' stead. That meeting resulted in Setran's murder in Ureles' stead, a fact that he does not forget.
