  • The Medical Droid was released in 2005 with the Revenge of the Sith set.
  • Medical droids, also known as med droids, were droids that possessed specialized programming and equipment for the treatment of sick or injured sentient beings. These droids were manufactured by a variety of companies and came in various different forms. Medical droids could be programmed to specialize in surgery, prosthetic replacement, bacta treatments, autopsy, species-specific treatments, and some individuals and criminal groups used them as elements of torture. The 2-1B surgical droid and the FX-series were popular and common models of medical droids that were found throughout the galaxy.
  • In the movies, the Medical Droid was seen in Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, as it was one of the droids reviving Darth Vader and assisted in putting his suit on.
  • A Medical Droid is a droid Minifigure from the Star Wars Theme, built in order to heal and/or assist others to heal injured characters. It appears to feature a new mould for the torso, but standard grey battle droid legs (the same used on Rocket Battle Droids) and one arm, the other arm is a gray version of a piece used as the MagnaGuard's arms. The newer version appears to have the same body and legs, but has two battle droid arms instead.
