Witewynnie was Judus' personal steed, and horse, and then became the steed of Billow, and the nameless woman. He was sold to Vayess in exchange for a chance to spar with the nameless woman. Vrank officiated their duel (technically this was illegal; women are not allowed to duel, but Vrank was considered a moonlion and a heretic with many strange, and new ideas for the Faith o' Nine) to first blood. Vayess rode Witewynnie all the way back to the Deadwood Grove, where Sir Roben, Calthoss' Cave's head guardsman made both her, and Gebel wait for a week while he waited on Cal's response at Delkeye. The three cross the lychgate (Vayess, and Gebel are forced to share Witewynnie), arriving at Haunted Isle; Sir Roben is killed by a tallman, and both Gebel, and Vayess find a map depicting that Earth. This sparks curiosity in Gebel. When they return, Vayess briefly feels herself "floating," despite lacking wings. Gebel use Roben's horse Unicorn, a rare horse born with a small black stump for a horn. After crossing the lychgate, the two take the two horses on a boat to Delkeye, then to Crowtonne, arriving just in time for the Dogfight. Witewynnie stayed Vayess' personal steed, and only died at the eruption of Mount Deres.
