  • After his defeat at the hands of Sonic and Tails, Dr. Eggman's Death Egg crash landed on the floating Angel Island, resulting in the island sinking down to the water's surface. Eggman used the Launch Base Zone as his base for repairs and apparently messed with the systems. He eventually repaired his flying fortress and took off into the sky with Sonic and Tails pursuing him, resulting in another crash landing on Angel Island's Lava Reef Zone. After losing to Sonic and Tails in Mushroom Hill Zone, Dr. Eggman fled to his aircraft, Flying Battery, in which Sonic and Tails pursued him. After being defeated aboard Flying Battery, Dr. Eggman fled to Sandopolis Zone. Sonic and Tails jumped the destructing ship in pursuit of Eggman. (VG: SH3aK, SU: #64)

(VG: SH3aK, SU: #64) Knuckles later passed through a seemingly repaired Flying Battery in pursuit of a fleeing EggRobo controlled by Dr. Julian Snively, Dr. Eggman's assistant, after multiple encounters on the island. During his visit, he, just like Sonic and Tails before him, encountered the EggRobo and chased it to Sandopolis Zone, while the Flying Battery fell to the island below. (VG: S3aK, SU: #70)
