Glory[shaking her head]: Seriously Chris, can't you act your own age and wait like a man? Chris[whining]: I DON'T WANNA~!! Bach: Urgh! Could you NOT shout...? Chris: MARY, WHERE ARE YOU?!!! C'MON!! WE'RE ALL BORED!! Aphro[Male Form]: [placing "his" hands on "his" hips] Honestly Chris!! That is no way to talk to a lady!! I demand you to show Ms. Mary some respect!! Chris[groaning]: OK... In fact, I don't quite have a name for it yet. It's sole purpose is to act as The Jolly MK II's grappling system. Bach: Gra... Spike: Grappling... Wyatt and Chris[starry-eyed and mouths hung open. Chris' face returned to normal]: Gra-Gra-Gra-Gra-Gra-Gra-Gra-Gra...!!! Timber[exhasperated]: A grappling... System...? Mary: Indeed. This will serve as The Jolly MK II's newfound arms. It's main function will be for combat purposes, but it can still be useful for other situations as well. I had plans for such an idea for quite some time, but I was never able to get around to implementing them. Thanks to you pirates inviting me to your crew, I can now put this idea to use. Hopefully, if given enough spare time, I can get it finished soon. Chris and Wyatt[still excited]: SO COOL~!!! Timber: Wow Mary!! That's awesome!! I never even thought of that!! Timber: I have a feeling somethings gonna harm the ship. Everyone[Except Wyatt and Chris]: IT'S A DRAGON! Wyatt and Chris[Stars in eyes]: So cool! ???[Chuckling]: He took my prey. I wonder what he's gonna do to them Shinku: W-Wait, so what just happened here?! Sakura: Isn't it obvious? A dragon came down from out of nowhere and carried us off. Now we're on this lake, atop the strange, mushroom island. Bach: Is it just me, or does it actually sound CRAZY coming out of Sakura's mouth? Spike: Wierder things have happened though... Chris: Yeah, wierd stuff. Now about that dragon. Where do you think it went? I bet it's sitting on one of those mountains! Glory: Chris, I know what you're thinking, and all I have to say is N! O! Glory: NO!! We are NOT searching for that thing!! Rune: I agree. We don't know anything about this place. Who knows what kind of creatures could be living here? That is... If there's anything at all on this island. Chris: Well, duh!! Of course there is!! There's that really awesome dragon! Karen[sighing]: That's not what she meant... Aphro[Female Form]: No need to worry, my dears! If any nasty ol' critter hurts you, i'll beat 'em up and then give you my special brand of first-aid! Aphro: Or better yet, mouth to mouth resuscitation! Hanuman: Look, Hanuman flattered and everything. But Hanuman not interested. Plus, Hanuman creeped out. Aphro[with wide eyes. Spike: Enough you two!! Look, we won't be able to get out of here if we don't start moving anyway. So I suggest we get started now. Mary: Agreed. Chances of making it back to the New World through this method are at least 80%. Chris: Plus, we gotta find that dragon!! Timber: ENOUGH OF THE DRAGON!! Sakura: So then, is it agreed? We will split up into three separate scouting parties and explore the island? Glory: Well, I WOULD like to see what this place is like... That, and I really wanna get back to the New World. Lawrence: If Glory's going, then so am I. Aphro[raising his hand into the air]: Same here! Wyatt: Well, if everyone's into the idea so much, then I guess it couldn't hurt to try. Count me in! Bach: Me too. Chris[starry eyed]: Here we come, dragon! Timber: Hold on, but what about Jolly? Wouldn't she be defenseless without anyone here to protect her? Rune: I suggest we have one group stay close to the ship then. That way, it can be protected at all times. Timber[hesitantly]: Fine, but if anything happens to this ship, i'm going to ultra get you for it, OK Rune? Rune: It's a deal. ???: They're splitting into three groups, interesting. Chris[Singing]: We're gonna find a dragon! Chris: Why'd you do that? Glory: Just forget about the dragon. Lawrence[Yawning]: There's someone up ahead on a tree branch. Chris: Mabye he knows where the dragon is! ???: What are you doing here? Chris: Looking for the dragon! Glory[Annoyed]: Searching for a way down. ???: I know of a way down, and I know where the dragon is. By the way, my name's Rex. Chris[Stars in eyes]: Really can you take us to the dragon? Glory: Can you show us the way down. Rex: Sure, if- Karen: Of course there's a catch. Rex: I'll tell you if you beat me in battle. Chris: Oh, OK. If we need to beat you in a fight, then i'll take you on. That way, we can get back to our adventure. Rex: Don't you think that's unfair? You obviously have devil fruit powers, I have none. I knew Glory all my life, and she's never been one to dissapoint her opponent in battle! After all, she's the "Amazon!" Where we come from, strength is beauty! And Glory's got that with her today! Karen: Even if she does, I still hope she comes out of this OK. Glory[thinking]: OK, if I start with Tiger Style Kung-Fu first, then maybe the power from my punches will end this quickly. After all, it's what I have the most experience in anyway... And besides, I can't stay and play around with this guy all day. We need to get back to the sea. Glory: HRRAAAAAH~!!! Sakura: Calm down Timber, the dragon saved us, even if it did cuase some damage Timber: I hope Chris finds that dragon so I can beat it up! Bach: Look i'll help you fix it Rex[Stepping out into the open]: If you want help or information mabye I could help Wyatt: People live here! Bach: Or mabye just one person Aphro[Male Form]: So do you have a price for your help? Rex: You could say that. Rex: You just have to beat me in battle. Sakura: Battle? Why fight now? Seems sort of pointless to me... Wyatt: Well it's the only way to get info, right? I say we do it now, and get it over with. Bach: Agreed. It'll help since there are five of us and only one of him. It's a shame too, since I can't use my Timber Impact Gun without it. And to make matters worse, he already knows how my Timber Mallet works... I guess i'll have to rely on that one now... Timber: OK, so if the Timber Mallet won't work, and since you have my "shell," as you put it, I guess i'll have to use my ultra Timber Nail Sword on you. Don't worry though, I don't plan on killing you. Defeating you will be good enough for me. Especially since I want my "shell" back. Sakura: This is gonna get good... This shell seems to be important to you, perhaps it can be used as a weapon. Rex[Thinking]: This shell must be pretty powerful if he wants it back so bad. Sakura: Blood droplets...? Karen: Glory and this guy, Rex, got into a fight a little while ago. He said he'd give us information on how to leave, and where that dragon is, if one of us beat him. Chris wanted to fight, but Glory fought him instead. At first, we thought Glory would win, since we never expected anyone to be so strong here. But he was stronger than we imagined, and so he beat Glory. But not before Glory's snake, Akatsuki, bit him, causing his blood to drip from his arm. Bach: Wait, so he challenged you with the promise of sharing some info with you as well?! Just what exactly is going on here?! Glory: Look, we'll settle all this later!! First, we gotta help Timber!! He won't last long like this!! Aphro: Leave it to me, my beloved Ms. Glory!! Karen and I will work around the clock to make sure our friend is as good as new!! Karen: Yeah!! Leave Timber to us!! Shinku: But if that's true, then that means that when this guy transforms, he'll be strong enough to lift a ship!! Spike's gonna have a hard time beating him! Rune: On the plus side, we don't need to ask him about the dragon anymore. Now we just need to figure out how we can leave safely. Hanuman: Hanuman hopes this ends well... Now we're even, after that crazy fire attack you launched at me. Spike[thinking]: If all else fails, I guess i'll have to use my Revival Cubes. I just hope this fight doesn't drag on for too long after using one though. Can't risk using more than one in this situation... Rex: Heh, you didn't like that fire? well you'll hate this then. And a way to get back down? Wouldn't THAT be our request? Spike: Still though, it's pretty tempting whenever someone says they'll do something for you. Some people may not be able to control themselves... Chris: So then, Rex. Mind if I ask you why you wanted to fight us first, BEFORE you gave us the information? Don't get me wrong, this isn't something I want for beating you. It's just a simple question that you can answer however you like. Glory[with a look of disbelief]: Is... Is he honestly contemplating on something?! Spike: Whatever it is, it better not be something stupid. Wyatt: I wish he would just say something! He's really beginning to freak me out. Chris: Well then... Chris: If everything you said is true, then how about a change of pace? Ya know, to shake things up a little! Bach: Oh boy, here he goes... Chris: Nope, i'm going with my plan... Shinku: Huh?! But why?! Chris[non-chalantly]: It's his life, so it's his call. A life as a pirate isn't for everyone, ya know. That, and what if his treasure can't be brought with him? He'd have to stay here and protect it, right? Spike: So you're just going to run from your responsibilities as captain now? To be honest, I know in the past that i've constantly asked you all to join my crew, even against your own wishes at times, but this guy... There's just something about him that tells me I should let him decide. It's just a gut feeling I got. But I know that if he's really as tired of this place as he says he is, and since I can imagine how boring and lonely this place would be without many visitors, I think I know what his answer will be. Personally, I hope he joins, since i'd really like to have a dragon on the crew! Tootootoo! Wyatt[sighing]: Leave it to Chris to come up with some crazy solution to an otherwise ordinary problem... True, the Impact Dial caused some major damage to his stomach, and some of his ribs were either chipped, or outright broken; but all in all, Timber will pull through. Besides, it's no worse than some of the other injuries he's sustained in the past. Glory: Phew! What a relief... Aphro: What's with the commotion? And why are we out at sea again? Did someone finally beat that Rex fellow? Wyatt: Well, about that- Aphro: WAIT! IT'S HIM! THAT REX GUY! WHAT'S HE DOING HERE?! Karen: Did he follow us?! Glory: Sort of. You see... Glory: Rex ended up losing due to a technicality when he fought Spike. So he was willing to do whatever we asked him to do. And so we were about to ask for some directions, when Chris went and did... Well, the usual! Aphro: I see... So he asked Rex to join us? Glory: Not really... Chris[picking his nose]: Nah, I let him decide. Just felt like it. Karen[sighing]: That's Chris for you... Chris[stops picking his nose]: But i'm lost here. I thought you said you were protecting your treasure. Don't you need to stay on your island and guard it? After all, that's why you got so strong, right? Rex: Did you really think I didn't have anouther type of protection for it in case I was defeated? And proberly no-one even knows about it. I think it's pretty safe. And sorry about Timber, I didn't know the shell was that strong. Aphro: You don't need to worry about Timber, Rex. Like Karen here said, he'll be OK. He just needs to sleep off his injuries for a couple days, and gets lots of nourishment. He'll be back to building his little gadgets and posing like a fool in no time! After seeing you fight my crew, and when I found out you were the one who saved us from your brother, I couldn't help but find out for myself what you were really like. And I have to say, even though we've only known each other for a little while, i've really grown to like ya! And after hearing you say that stuff about the island, I thought I would go ahead and invite you to join us anyway. Rex: I see. So then, where exactly are we heading off to? Do you guys have some kind of destination in mind? Or are we just going to go wherever we want to? Chris: Actually, we DO have some place to be. That's why we're sailing the New World at the moment. Rex: Oh? And where would this place be? Chris: Hehehe! We're heading to Raftel! We're gonna go find the One Piece so that Spike can become the Pirate King! So you better be ready for anything from now on! Rex: Sounds interesting. I'd be glad to help him achieve that. Glory[jokingly]: You better! Because if you don't help Spike accomplish his dream, you'll have to answer to me! [sticks her tongue out at Rex playfully] Sakura[leaning against the main mast]: We all feel strongly about this goal. Though of course, we all still have our own personal desires to fulfill. I for one, wish to become the greatest swordsman in the world. Chris: And i'm gonna make sure everyone's dreams come true while I entertain the world! Rex: "Entertain the world"? Mary: I was as surprised as you were when he told me. Apparently our captain is also our entertainer. He sings, dances, makes jokes, and creates various kinds of artwork for us. It seems to please him. It also amazes me that he wasn't interested in finding the One Piece. But it appears unpredictability has become a trait of Chris' make-up. Chris: That's right! Spike[groaning]: Please tell me he didn't make one of his spicy meals... My mouth still feels like it burns from last time... Lawrence[in parrot form, and resting on Glory's shoulder]: So long as he didn't "sample" them, i'm willing to eat anything! Hanuman: SOUP'S ON~!! Hanuman: Hanuman not know what Rex likes, so Hanuman made full course meal for crew! Hanuman made many different dishes and meals, so that way, everyone has something they'll like! Of course, Hanuman made sure to add some favorite foods too. Chris: Seems your "initiation" into the crew is starting off well! How about we get in there and eat before those gluttons beat us to it? We can even formally introduce ourselves to you while we eat! Oh, and I think you're gonna like Hanuman's cooking. He's spent many years perfecting his craft, so he's become something of an expert cook. Rex: Sounds like a plan, captain. Chris: Hehehe!! Then let's go!! Timber: Don't even start. I'm starving here. Aphro[glaring at Timber]: While i'd like to bite your head for this right now... [sighs] I'll let this pass. But only because we're in the midst of a celebration here! Once we're through, you're going back to bed! Timber: It's a deal, doc! Hanuman: After all! Eating good for nursing people back to health! It give Timber more energy, which will speed up healing factor! Timber: Couldn't have ultra said it any better myself! Spike: Right, so if we're all done yapping here, can we finally get to the food? Because if we don't eat soon, then i'm gonna start without ya. Sakura: No you don't... I'm gonna have that piece. Glory[surprised]: Sakura's fighting with Spike over who gets the first piece of octopus meat?! Chris[mouth full of food]: Ay cah uhmurspahm way! (I can understand why!) Fish foo ish gway! (This food is great!) Karen[whining]: Ah!! Chriiiis~!! Don't start without us~!! Glory[flirting]: You know, Spike~... I could feed you some meat if you're that hungry~... Glory: They're still at it...? Chris: Don't... Say... Anything...! Chris: WYATT~!!! Rune: Umm... Right then. Here's a toast to our new friend, and now fellow crewmate, Rex!! Glory: He fell asleep... again A quick whack on the head from Hanuman's nyoibo, woke Rex up. Rex: OW! What was that for? Karen[surprised that Rex didn't know]: YOU FELL ASLEEP!!!
