Ghost Robot had earlier been kidnapped by Henchman Zero and killed in gladiatorial combat with Henchman 21. Apparently US Steel is unaware of his sidekick's immortality, as he is seen weeping in the absence of Ghost Robot's immediate emergence with the rest of Zero's prisoners when they are freed. The reason for this ignorance has not yet been revealed.
