Yes it happened in my backyard. Squirrels built a nest last fall and some sort of hawk move in this spring. It's not a red tail, because it's not big enough. It may be a Cooper's hawk. We have seen them in the past. I believe here are baby hawks up here but I don't think they have left the nest yet.
