The Sands Hotel (or the Sands) was a hotel and casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada on Earth. In the holosuite program Bashir 62, a rendition of 1962, the Sands was one of the biggest venues along the Vegas Strip. Vic Fontaine once recalled to Odo that Frank and Dean dropped in on him once while he was playing at the Sands, back in 1958. Together, the three of them took over one of the blackjack tables and dropped a combined $15,000. (DS9: "His Way") Vic and his lady friend Ginger later saw Jimmy and Pete perform at the Sands.
