Lots of stuff to talk about here, and I'll start with the actual match for once. A Pyrrhic Victory is a battle that one wins in war, but at such great losses that it spells eventual doom for the army and the nation. The best example of a Pyrrhic Victory is the Battle of Thermopylae, and I believe the term even comes from that particular exchange. Maybe you've seen the movie that got made about it? (Holy s***, that movie is five years old already? I am getting old really fast, I remember that launch like it was yesterday.) Zen can suck it, I give myself a solid 8 for that image. Thanks, buddy.

(Holy s***, that movie is five years old already? I am getting old really fast, I remember that launch like it was yesterday.) To the point. Yeah Samus won this match, but only 61% against Terra and Kefka, really? People guessed all pre-contest that Ridley would completely screw her eventually, and they were right. There was zero chance Samus was going to make the semifinals once this match happened, and it's worth noting that it took FF6's piss-awful day vote to prevent Samus from falling below 60%. A lot predicted that Ryu and Ken would be able to take advantage of Ridley being an anchor, but it would eventually be the trainers. Right division, wrong rivalry. The match pic is also entirely mine, and though I'm really happy with how that template looks side by side using outer glow on the top sprites was just freaking dumb. It takes away from how good I feel the picture otherwise looks, though it's balanced by howgood the bottom half is. That Terra picture is adorable as anything, and that's the first time we've ever seen that particular Kefka sprite in a match pic. Angel Kefka is good, but that sprite is really underappreciated. The first time you fight Kefka, that's what you're looking at and the fight can be pretty tough if you don't know what you're doing. Zen can suck it, I give myself a solid 8 for that image. "Pyrrhic victory isn't from Thermopylae, but from King Pyrrhus who was from Epirus when he won against Romans 2 times but he lost so many soldiers that he was doomed." -Safer Sephiroth 777 Thanks, buddy.
