The late Empress Freia Seamel's younger sister and the "lost" Princess of Fastheld in her own right, Reia Seamel is a playful and energetic young woman who happens to rank as one of the finest - if not the finest - fencers in Fastheld. Though her older sister become the betrothed and eventually the wife of the late Emperor Talus Kahar XIV, Reia did not become Princess as a result, due to how the Royal Family has traditionally handled the bestowing of such prestegeous titles, namely in assigning them only to direct blood-siblings of the current Emperor, and those who they opt to marry.

  • The late Empress Freia Seamel's younger sister and the "lost" Princess of Fastheld in her own right, Reia Seamel is a playful and energetic young woman who happens to rank as one of the finest - if not the finest - fencers in Fastheld. However, this was of little concern to the "lost" Princess, as hers was a spirit that dictated that she be happy with just being that close to royalty, batting away all suggestions of bitterness with comments that she probably wouldn't have been allowed to continue her fencing career had she become Princess anyway. That fiery spirit was tempered only by the loss of her sister to a Wildling attack in 625 ATA, and for a while Reia did little other than fence to battle her grief - losing herself in the finesse of the fencing dance as a way to strangle the emotions and loss she felt. In time, however, Reia has come to terms with her loss, especially in the wake of the subsequent death of her brother-in-law, Talus Kahar XIV, and the repeated rumors of death that often follow her only current claim to family, Serath Kahar. The latter's ability to cheat death seems to have become a source of amusement to her, and the Prince's council in recent months - usually away from the eye of the public - has done wonders to rekindle the fire in his spirit and renew the passion she once felt for fencing as something other than a way to handle grief. Exceptionally unconventional within the bounds of her femininity, she can often be found fencing in ball gowns and - on occasion - little more than a corset and stockings, though is usually clad in a more astute attire of a black silk doublet and equally black silk pants, earning her style and perfect freedom of movement. However, she has a habit of opting to remain barefooted (as part of her personal philosophy of fencing movement dictates) while going through the motions with those who seek her knowledge, wielding her rapier - Stormwing - with a skill and finesse unlike any other. Currently, Reia is looking to set up her own school of fencing as an excuse to remain in one spot for an extended period of time. The endevour is currently being looking into by House Kahar, and it is expected that Reia will eventually make a home for herself and forge a career acting as a Maestro of Fencing. Assuming she doesn't get bored of being in one place, that is.
