In one scene, he pops out of a cigar box to hand Cosmo Scam his cigar. Later, he appears in Santa's workshop as one of the Frackles who take the Elves' place. By 1974, this puppet rose from the ranks of the Frackles and became a character in his own right. In 1976 he was reworked and renamed Gonzo, and the rest is history. Snarl is the only Frackle who asks Santa for a present during the special at the beginning: A baseball mitt.

  • Snal'Fashtalli (Snarl) is a young Horansi who has recently been rescued from slavery by the Jedi Order and is currently residing in the Temple on Ord Mantell. After many discussions and serious consideration on both sides, she has agreed to join the Order and learn the ways of the Force. Now Master Badiri Nzuri's Padawan, the Kasa is learning a new way to live.
W odcinku "Human Error, Part II", dołącza do grupy "Substitute Autobots".
  • An unhappy loner of few words and fewer opinions. Finds joy only in battle. His uncooperative nature sometimes hinders others from helping him. Large golden plates on spinal assembly are solar collectors which increase his strength tenfold in sunlight. Tail can shatter 20-foot concrete cube. Armored hide resists most missiles. Slow and vulnerable to nighttime attack in his weaker state.
  • Snarl is a male cape dog. Snarl and his pack mates stalk a meerkat named Timon when he wanders off from his friends. The pack manages to corner him in a large pile of rocks, but they are momentarily scattered by a rockslide, with some members dying beneath the falling rocks. Snarl furiously attempts to enact his revenge on Timon, but he is quickly confronted by Timon's friends, Pumbaa and Simba, and is killed by a falling rock during the confrontation.
  • Snarl is one of the members of the Autobot sub-group called the Dinobots led by Grimlock. He turns into a robotic Stegosaurus. The toy that became Snarl was original part of the Diaclone toy from Takara. Snarl's dependency on sunlight makes him extremely vulnerable to attack at night. Although he can use the same fuel the other Autobots use, he operates at only a fraction of his strength when he does. He is also very slow and his uncooperative behavior patterns sometimes hinder his effectivess in dangerous situations.
  • An Autobot of few words and fewer opinions, Snarl grudgingly follows the orders of Dinobot leader Grimlock and leaves the thinking to others. He's generally unhappy and a loner, and his uncommunicative nature only adds to his feelings of isolation. Only the thrill of battle can elevate his spirits. In fact, few of his comrades experience the joyous heights that Snarl attains while locked in mortal combat. But for him war is an all too brief respite from the twin devils that haunt his miserable existence: the ungainly dinosaur form Wheeljack has bestowed upon him and the knowledge he may be stuck on mudball Earth forever.
  • The Snarl is a god-murdering creature born of deific foolishness which, if unleashed, would end existence as we know it. When the world was young, it was made up of threads of possible realities. The Gods arrived in their Pantheons (North, East, South and West), intent on creating a world of worshipers. The pantheons, unfortunately, could not agree on the properties of this world. There were arguments, and when this occurred the Gods would simply pull on the threads of reality. The tangled threads eventually gave way to the Snarl.
  • Snal'Fashtalli was born on the Horansi homeworld of Mutanda to a highly respected warrior and his mate, who had a reputation for swordsmanship in her own right. The ruling Nkosi was familiar with their fine warrior bloodline and saw to it that the birth of their first-born was duly reported. When he was told that they had born a large and healthy cub, he took a decided interest in the newborn's future. He wished to raise a Gamba(elite bodyguard)from a young age to keep watch over the Crown Prince who was yet to be concieved. Thus Snarl's life-path was being plotted for her before she had even opened her eyes to view the world around her.
