The structure's construction lasted from 1907 to 1915, with the purpose of being exhibited at the Nopoly Fair in the 1920s, and was originally supposed to be taken down after the fair, but planner Jason Miller Joags and Nopoly mayor Simon Brimm, Jr. did not want for "a lot of hard work" to be destroyed after just one fair. They wanted the Arbunean to stay up for a long time.
