His first name has never been revealed in source material so far released, but his appearance and to some extent background are clearly a reference to Pavel Chekov from Star Trek. A member of the Black Guard, Chekov appears as an enemy from Earth II onwards. Appears as a hidden character found on the Sea Launch. He is an astronaut who was destined to fly inside the rocket that was to start from the platform, but the launch was never conducted. He can be found inside a Stasis chamber in the rocket. Acquiring the codes located throughout the installation, the player can deactivate the chamber, free him and cause him to join as a party member. In this installment, he appears as a no-nonsense, serious character of great competence, propably the most 'adult' and emotionally stable member of the group. His weapons of choice are energy-based ranged weapons. Checkhow (Tschechow) (1.
