Zahir Road is a highway, reconstructed in 626 ATA, that runs east-west between the Imperial Throughfare and Hedgehem, west of Nillu Road, and then northwest-southeast between Hedgehem and Fanghill. Redeveloped as a fully functional smooth-cobbled highway, this long stretch of road is wide enough to support four caravans side-by-side (two on the left, two on the right) at any one time, perfectly straight, and built entirely upon an isosceles trapezium-shaped dyke to reduce the risk of flooding from the moors surrounding the Hegdehem/Fanghill regions.

Furthermore, the highway also features parallel rows of trees that flank the road on both sides, providing further protection from heavy flooding while offering sheltered protection from any brigands that may attempt to spy upon passing trade caravans from within the shadows of the moors.
