Second son of King Trôrin, Nân ruled the Kingdom of Rûrîk (in eastern Endor) after the untimely death of his brother, Brôin the Clumsy- Obsessed with discovering gold and mithril in the Mountains of Wind, Nân passed half his life in such pursuits and uncovered little of value. Unable to find a wife, he moped for twenty years before his death in the Second Age.
