Supergirl helps Eddie Moran, a kid at the Midvale Orphanage, get adopted by John Stark, the swimming champion. The next morning, in history class at Midvale High, Linda Lee is assigned an essay on what historical figure she would most like to be. To determine this, she travels through time and visits Annie Oakley, Betsy Ross, and Pocahontas, taking each of their places for a time and using her super-powers to help them succeed. She notices something strange, however. In all three eras, Kryptonite meteors are in evidence, which should not have been on Earth prior to Krypton's destruction.
