God of extremes and chaos, Rahdu is a little-worshiped deity, whom does not possess much influence or sway in the mortal realm. He was born when Isod passed through Xel; when these two extremes were merged, the god Rahdu was formed. Unable to contain these two distinct halves, Rahdu was forced to split himself into two seperate beings, Ledi and Djara. He is capable of bringing these two halves together, but rarely does so.

As a "golden rhino", it can turn anything it touches into gold with its magical golden horn. Rhadu (actual gender unspecified) was one of the best animal friends of the boy prince Pricari, whose parents were the king and queen of a small South African tribe. In the episode, Rhadu helped Prince Pricari save the time-lost Smurfs from falling into the river by using his horn to transform a fraying rope into gold, so the Smurfs could climb to safety. After the rescue, the Smurfs became good friends with Pricari and Rhadu. Pricari was seen caring for Rhadu by providing rest and food, explaining that the gold transformation is costly to the rhinos as they use much energy to do so, and as such require care to recover. However, Rhadu was captured in the forest along with Brainy Smurf by soldiers (actually trained gorillas) and their human leader Azoul, who served Tamar, the greedy and cruel ruler of another and more advanced tribe. After Azoul used Rhadu's golden horn to turn Brainy to gold as a test of its powers, the calf became a slave of Tamar’s, put to work turning all of his belongings into gold. However, the task was dangerous for Rahdu’s health as Tamar did not feed it any of the magical berries; the only food for restoring its energy after turning things into gold. After the news was sent to Prince Pricari and the other Smurfs, Handy Smurf and Clumsy Smurf, along with Prince Pricari and his two of his animal friends, Cubbi the lion cub and Stretch the baby giraffe, went to save Rhadu and Brainy. Despite all the risks, they rescued Rahdu and Brainy, as well as Rahdu’s parents which were also locked up in Tamar’s prison. They sailed out to the sea trying to escape, but Tamar along with Azool and the gorilla soldiers pursued them in his boat. Tamar almost caught up to them, but Rahdu and its parents saved themselves and their rescuers by turning the greedy king's ship to gold with their horns, causing it to sink into the ocean. It is to be assumed that Rhadu and his parents returned to the forest to live long and happy lives beyond the reach of greedy humans.
