This was chiefly the result of behavioral issues. However, a lot of PT’s grief was a also result of his well-intentioned earnestness to help others, which was often manifested in his too often commenting on CC’s blogs, forums, user talkpages, etc., and that activity rubbing certain people the wrong way. In the ensuing months, PT has shown a more mature approach to Wikia, and knows when not to dive into things and seldom shows the immaturity he sometimes did before (at least here on ATW, ATW Chat, and/or ATW IRC). I support giving PT the sysop bit so that he can be a Testing Administrator. However, I hope that PT is not merely collecting user rights, and will use the sysop bit to do actual testing, and participate in the ATW community more. — SpikeToronto 17:26, January 27, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Symbol oppose vote.png Strongly Oppose I strongly oppose of this. Just because this user has created a new account doesn't mean he should automatically be given respect points. This user practically acts like a mod on Community Central, and I personally think he is just getting admin to collect user rights and make people envy him and bow down to him. This user is a tattle tale and already knows how to use admin on other wikis, and he got kickbanned four times on his other account on Community Central. I am not an editor here, but my opinion should count because I've seen his behavior act up elsewhere. File:Ambox Content.svg Important: You should note though that his behavior has improved in the past few months after disabling his original account and using his new account. -- 15:22, January 28, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Firstly, Colgatecity, is that he is not being considered for an admin position here. He is asking for admin testing privileges. It is not the same thing. I agree that he is not ready for the former; but, the latter is merely to permit him to test admin functions that would either violate the rules at his home wiki, or might risk “breaking” his home wiki. Secondly, my understanding is that those kickbans from Community Central Chat are not recent. Finally, you hit the nail on the head when you say You should note though that his behavior has improved in the past few months after disabling his original account and using his new account. We have to take account of that behavioral change. We cannot ignore it. He has to be given credit for it just as you would be had you been in the same situation. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 00:23, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: I feel this opposition vote is due to personal differences between I and Colgate, and that it wouldn't be appropriate for me to bring that disagreement here - so I prefer not to respond further. I have replied to SpikeToronto about some things as well. --— Plasma (Talk) 02:31, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: I didn't know he wastesting admin rights. but it all makes sense now. thanks for the clarification. I am File:Symbol neutral vote.png Neutral about him testing admin rights. and I would hope he wouldn't abuse his privileges. 13:10, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Hello teleporterley, do you even know plasma? I don't remember you at all from wiki chat, nor do I know you from here. I'm confused. There was an edit conflict from my comment, so I decided to post this instead. 13:12, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Hello colagatecity. I know plasma from community central. I was talking to an admin here about him getting his rights. and I am glad the rights are just for testing purposes. 13:15, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Your a noob teleporterley. Screw off. 13:21, January 29, 2012 (UTC) * File:Symbol support vote.svg Support It's test adminship for crying out loud. I doubt he'll go on a vandalism spree, so why not? ajr 20:51, January 31, 2012 (UTC) * Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Your comment, Ajr, reminds me of WP:NETPOSITIVE, a philosophy I’ve always supported. — SpikeToronto 00:18, February 1, 2012 (UTC) * It was more intended to show that the excessive red tape here is ironically preventing someone from becoming a test administrator, something which is supposedly (according to your main page) "not a big deal". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ajraddatz (talk • contribs)., 05:04, February 1, 2012 (UTC) * Yes, Ajr, you’ve made your position known before. But, PT’s RfR is not suffering from red tape. No one who is a regular member of the ATW community has opposed it. What this RfR is suffering from is outside “clutter”. I fail to see a red-tape issue here. — SpikeToronto 19:25, February 1, 2012 (UTC)Bureaucrats’ closing notes and conclusions Background Decision Image:Pictogram voting support.svg Approved - the results were 3/1/1, with the oppose !vote by Colgatecity mitigated by the opposer's immature behavior. Colgatecity is admonished to be civil at all times on this wiki. PlasmaTime is congratulated on a job well done. — Jeff G. ツ 03:49, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
