On his way to the stables he takes the path through the courtyard, where the Amyrlin's party has arrived. An elaborate ceremony is in progress where the Amyrlin is greeted by Lord Agelmar Jagad. At the stables he is told by Tema that no one may leave, not on horse or on foot. Rand runs off when Tema mentions that the Amyrlin will be sending to meet with him now.
