The Quintanis is a predatory arthropod indiginous to Canes Venatei. They resemble short (but huge) centipedes that slither in the air, and hunt using stealth and ambush tactics, due to their slow speed. When the Quintanis gets within range of an intended victim, it spits a sticky substance that keeps the creature stuck in place, allowing the Quintanis to eat the victim. As if nature took pity on the prey of the Quintanis, its spit and therefore its bite, contain numbing agents that render the prey without feeling.
