Dr Goodridge was the forensic expert who investigated the deaths of Colin and Joy Fishwick. A witness at Fiz Stape's murder trial heard at Weatherfield Crown Court in October 2011, Goodridge presented evidence to both prosecuting barrister Andy Hunter and defending barrister Nicola Taybarn. He told Hunter that Colin's cause of death was severe brain haemorrhage, and that many fibres found on the body were those belonging to John Stape, and a smaller amount belonging to Fiz, with many focused around a head wound. He also confirmed that Joy's cause of death was an angina attack, which would have been prevented with use of her GTN spray, which was found in her handbag next to her body. Finally, Goodridge revealed to Hunter that Fiz's fingerprints were identified on the spray. After questionin

  • Dr Goodridge was the forensic expert who investigated the deaths of Colin and Joy Fishwick. After questioning Dr Goodridge also, Taybarn concluded that fibres found on Colin's body could have been transferred at any point, possibly when Fiz helped John move the body. Hunter protested at this but the Judge defended Taybarn. She also concluded that the prints left on Joy's GTN spray by Fiz could have been transferred when Fiz helped her by passing it to her, rather than Fiz taking it away from her to cause her to die.
