Saraad started his life as a hunter, and along with his two brothers, Golgo and Gorgax, traveled from planet to planet in search of creatures to hunt. However, while on Vendaxa, Golgo and Gorgax were both eaten by an Acklay. Before it could get Saraad, he was knocked out of its path by a young Human woman called Jori Kappa. Together, the two worked together to kill the beast. After the battle, Jori introduced herself to Saraad and explained that she was starting a career as a bounty hunter and was hunting a criminal on Vendaxa when she had seen Saraad in danger. Saraad believed that he owed his life to Jori and went with her to find the criminal. The two managed to find him and collect the bounty on his head. Jori agreed to let Saraad go with her.
