The Splendid leaf frog (Cruziohyla calcarifer), is a species of tree frog in the Hylidae family. It is endemic to the Caribbean slopes of southeastern Nicaragua and eastern Honduras southwards through Costa Rica and Panama to Pacific lowlands of Colombia and northwestern Ecuador. It might represent a composite of cryptic species. It is a nocturnal, arboreal frog inhabiting primary humid lowland forest. It comes down only to breed in tree holes and in small fishless pools.
