- It was stationed in a Tanzanian jungle in Africa, Earth, during the Battle of Earth and was part of the Marine force that found John-117 after his atmospheric landing. When the Spartan was revived, during the UNSC extraction operation from the jungle, Gunnery Sergeant Stacker was in command of 1st Squad, who was ordered by Sergeant Major Johnson to deploy and move out as his scouts. 1st Squad followed John 117 and Thel 'Vadam through the Jungle and linked up with Bravo Team's only survivor, Gunnery Sergeant Reynolds. After rescuing Sergeant Johnson and the remains of 2nd Squad, 1st Squad was evacuated to Crow's Nest.
