| - The Koatl Empire is a large powerful nation dominating the massive jungles of southern Necrosia, bordering the Aztec and Maya to the north and northwest, the Inca to the southeast, who managed to protect and retain it's sovereignty through careful diplomacy. In the southwest its island territories border the Lusitanian Colony Aviz to the west. In Ingodija, Koatl also holds sovereignty over the island Kingdom of Kumee, the Shok Islands, and the Congo and Manda regions on the mainland. Once divided amongst nearly a thousand different warring tribes, the Koatl Empire began when a strange object made of stone and metal fell from the sky deep into the heart of the Necrosian south. One clan, known to history as the Kakulha Clan, salvaged the wreckage and soon learned to control the highly advanced alien technology that survived. Four "idols" were also found among the wreckage, and the Kakulha viewed them as "Gods" who had presented their strange "technology" to the people. Once the Kakulha Clan had mastered the alien technology, they established themselves as the Kakulha-Koatl Dynasty, and led their followers on a long campaign of conquest that lasted almost a thousand years, with varying periods of peace every once in a while. The strange technology brought by the "Gods" allowed the Koatl to be the first nation to master flight without magic or beast-riding. Despite the unification, fighting amongst the indigenous tribes, and occasional revolts still tend to break out from time to time, but the Koatl Army is always quick to put these down.
