Little Tommy Tucker is the titular character in the Mother Goose Stories episode "Tommy Tucker". Tommy Tucker is an orphan and street urchin, living on the streets of the big city. He sings for his supper at the request of the mayor and his new wife. The couple then asks Tommy to cut a piece of bread without using a knife. Tommy questions how one could cut without a knife, stating that it is like asking someone to marry without any wife. The two are delighted by Tommy's rhetoric and quick wit, and so amused that they not only offer him all the food he could eat, but also adopt him (and his feline friend).
