As the High Priest, Josiah made many reforms to the Bendu Order and helped Kal'Shabbol through an age of awakening. The reforms that he created stemmed from the mistakes of the Bac family during the Ashlan Civil War and the Great Sovereign Crusades, as well as the suggestions and complaints made by the legendary Malachor family for thousands of years during the Bendu Order’s existence. Josiah helped the Bendu to realize that they had to step away from their radical, religious extremist way and instead become what they had vowed to be from the very beginning of their existence: the guardians of peace and justice in the Ashlan Expanse. However, Josiah still desired to travel back into the known galaxy and help the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order in their fight against the Third Sith Empire. In his mind, it was the only way for the order to atone for their sins against the Jedi and the Republic during the Great Sovereign Crusades.
