  • Depending on the setting, Red Magic is either a term for magic related to the element of Fire, or a classification for debuffing magic (Blind, Paralyze, Slow, etc). Despite being a school of magic seperate from White Magic and Black Magic, many of the spells of the Red Magic category have strong affinity to either of these schools - given the nature of Red Magic as harmful, it is to be expected that in those cases, the vast majority is affiliated to Black Magic. Some of the Red Magic spells are not usually available to Red Mage player characters, but are instead available to Necromancers, Black Mages and Blood Knights, often multi-classed with Necromancy. These spells are Destruct, Doom, Dispel, Berserk, Plague, Death, Panic, Zombie and Curse.
  • Red Magic, by Jean Rabe, is the third book of the loosely-related The Harpers series.
  • Red Magic is a Death Magic skill, that can be leveled starting at character level 1. Raising this skill at or above your character level will incur an experience point penalty. As a Death Magic skill, Red Magic can be raised actively, by sacrificing spirit trophies to the Altar of Torment in the Church, or raised passively. This skill affects Red Gems
