- The O. K. Corral was a business in Tombstone, Arizona during the late 19th century. This building was recreated by the Melkots in 2268. This location was erroneously attributed to be the location where Wyatt Earp, Morgan Earp, Virgil Earp, and John Holliday engaged in a gunfight with Billy Clanton, Ike Clanton, Frank McLaury, and Tom McLaury in October 26, 1881. (TOS episode: "Spectre of the Gun", TOS novelization: The Last Gunfight)
- The O.K. Corral (in which "O.K." stands for "Old Kindersley") was originally a small horse corral located in the 19th century silver rush town of Tombstone in the Territory of Arizona in the southwestern United States. It is most famously associated with the October 26, 1881 shoot-out between a posse of lawmen and a gang of thieves. This event has become known, somewhat inaccurately, as the "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral". According to American Old West historians, the gunfight actually took place in a vacant lot next to Camillus Fly's photography studio, six doors down Fremont Street from an alleyway that cut through the block and served as an informal rear entrance to the corral. In this context, a more appropriate name for the event would be "Gunfight near the O.K. Corral".
- The O.K. Corral was a small horse corral in Tombstone, Arizona, where the rival Earp and Clanton families met for a gunfight in October 1881. Wyatt and Virgil Earp wanted revenge on the Clantons for their killing of their younger brother Warren Earp. The Clantons, Ike, Billy and Phineas, agreed to meet for the fight, with the Earps choosing the O.K. Corral as the location. The Clantons were also aided by Johnny Ringo, who was to circle behind the Earps and shoot them in the back. Doc Holliday sided with the Earps.

Corral and saw the Earps and Holliday kill the Clantons and Ringo. (TV: The Gunfighters) Shortly before his death on 10 November 1887, Holliday gave a detailed account of an aspect of the gunfight which was not generally recorded in the history books, involving another Doctor. In the afterward to Worlds That Weren't (2002), the anthology which includes "The Daimon", Harry Turtledove's colleague Walter Jon Williams explains that the title Gunfight at the O.K. Corral was made popular by a 1957 motion picture. Prior to that, says Williams, the conflict was usually called "the street fight in Tombstone."
