The primary issue which divided the group was to what extent the alliance should tolerate the free speech of a few members. When Dark Energy was outcast (and severely weakened in a battle against several Reapers at once) he fled to the Galactic Core, and in his scorn and hatred for the others, began calling them by their organic name,

The film was released in 2004 by Constantin Film AG and was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
