- Il Tac,-esci-casso! (in giapponese “風雲!たけし城”) è una tecnica di meditazione zen molto diffusa in Giappone, che consiste nel provocare il dolore a sé stessi e l’ilarità nel prossimo, al fine di raggiungere la felicità interiore. Comunemente accostata alle scuole buddhiste giapponesi, dove è notoriamente praticata da millemila anni, ha in realtà nobili origini venete. Come si sa la vincita del gioco non è contemplata (chissà perché si ammazzano se poi non si riesce a vincere).
- The film documents a twisted general's futile attempts to capture the eponymous castle, as he leads his followers through a series of unbeatable water-based obstacles. General Lee is played by Kurosawa regular Toshiro Mifune and the villain Takeshi is played by controversial celebrity Takeshi 'Beat' Kitano. Craig Charles also stars as the Narrator. Kurosawa famously described Charles as "the king of water-based puns".
