In modern times, many clansmen have undergone a significant transformation powered by distress to achieve an alternate form of the eye, feared as the Mangekyō Sharingan. | - For countless generations, the accursed Uchiha Clan was heralded for their usage of the sharingan. In modern times, many clansmen have undergone a significant transformation powered by distress to achieve an alternate form of the eye, feared as the Mangekyō Sharingan. However, as it would turn out, the crimson eyes would transform yet again, taking the form of a rippled magenta eye, which has since come to be known as the Rinnegan. Fate would see to the eyes for the fifth and final time, accomplishing the form of the Tenshōgan. The eye first awakened within the sockets of Shura after the later managed to steal the eyes of his beloved biological mother, Sayuri Uchiha. In preparation for the eyes, Shura initially harnessed the power of several hundred sharingan into the tomoe altar, which had been made available to him through the many horrific actions taken by Sayuri in the past. Throughout the course of many years, the busty kunoichi had managed to steal more sharingan than she knew what to do with; electing to keep them hidden as opposed to worldwide exposure, Sayuri secretively stored the eyes within the the safety of her alternate universe. Unbeknownst to her, the eyes would eventually fall into the hands of her eldest son, Shura Uchiha, who had managed to dispel the genjutsu existent within her dimension through the utilization of his own power, after having been confined to his demise for the better part of six decades. The Tenshōgan is described by Shura as an "Eternal Rinnegan" (不変輪廻眼, Kagirinai Rinnegan). This is in part because the eye requires the Rinnegan of a closely related family member —preferably one who shares the same DNA— in exchange for a tremendous surge of power. Along with the aforementioned requirement, the eye also demands the sacrifice of numerous sharingan in order for a sufficient preparation. To an extent, the eye is also regarded as an incomplete version of the Rinne Sharingan. For this reason, it can be classified as a Kekkei Mōra.
