Ten years later Mitch Qyrann became a Padawan to Jedi Master Qualo Dash, as a Padawan Mitch Qyrann often would like to test his skills in the combat arena against holograms or other Padawans. Qyrann would also attempt to master his force powers in meditation in his Padawan chambers, Mitch even accidentally once lifted up the Jedi Temple, however most Jedi believed it to be an earthquake, Qyrann was to afraid to tell them that he was the one that caused the Temple to be lifted up and just kept it a secret that he lifted the temple, however he admitted to master Dash that he lifted the Temple, however Qualo stated that he should be more careful when using his force powers but that he would keep Qyrann's secret. Qyrann later became good friends with a Nautolan Jedi Padawan named Nevix Leria, Nevix and Qyrann would often like to role-play as Jedi Masters in Leria's quarters until Mitch Qyrann later accidentally cut off Nevix's right hand, Leria was angry at Mitch for wounding him but after Leria gained a cybernetic right hand he forgave Mitch and the two continued their friendship, Later a supercell thunderstorm hit Coruscant and all the Jedi Masters had to make sure all Padawans and younglings were inside their quarters however Nevix and Mitch snuck out and wanted to catch the supercell, however Qyrann and Nevix were struck by lightning and heavily wounded by the bolt, Qualo and several other Jedi Masters went outside after seeing Qyrann and Nevix, Dash however saw the two lying on the ground with smoking holes on their chests, Dash brought the two into the infirmary the two survived the wounds and continued their roles as Jedi Padawans. Mitch and Nevix later gained a friendship with another Padawan named Laris Vigler, a Male Golden Skinned Bith, Nevix, Laris and Mitch, they later decided to practice lightsaber combat in the training arena in the Jedi Temple. Qyrann, Nevix and Laris all decided to duel each other, Mitch quickly took Nevix out of the round and nearly took Laris out of the round but somehow was not able to take him out of the round, Qyrann however took Laris out of the round by destroying Laris's combat training lightsaber Qualo watched over the three's duel, Dash was afraid that his anger he unleashed in combat would lead him to the dark side. Mitch Qyrann later was sent on a mission with his master to capture Bothan Arms Dealer Ghearon Kent, after his capture in the Holt Cantina on Coruscant in the bar area, Mitch Qyrann noticed there was a black crystal on one of the seats, he examined it and before he could finish he was told by Dash that they were leaving, Qyrann took the crystal with him and Qualo and Mitch left, later in the workshop in the Jedi Temple Qyrann attempted to create a second lightsaber, after assembling his second lightsaber Qyrann clashed both his black lightsaber and his green lightsaber together. Six years later, Qyrann started growing up and did not usually pretend to be a Jedi Master like he usually used to do with Nevix and Laris when he was younger, Qyrann eventually started to teaching younglings from what Qualo taught him, Mitch even gained a lot of influence from an Ortolan Jedi youngling who would constantly ask him for training, Mitch was annoyed from the youngling but Laris was jealous that many younglings came to him rather than him, Qyrann actually accidentally talked a youngling into leaving the Jedi Order causing the youngling's Jedi Master to be angry with Qyrann, Qualo told Mitch he should stop teaching due to what danger to the Jedi Order he might cause, but Dash was not mad like the Jedi Master was at his Padawan leaving the Jedi Order.
